Hey everyone — I picked up a set of OEM 22” Limited wheels off a 2022 Ram 1500 (22×9, 19mm offset) and I want to keep them. I currently run 275/55-20s and plan to move to 285/50-22 (I prefer the taller 50 sidewall over 45 for a softer ride and to fill the wheel well a bit more).
Quick background: I want to stay OEM rims, keep the truck at stock ride height, and I’m fine with a very minor rub at full lock — nothing that affects daily driving or safety.
Questions for anyone who has actually run this setup:

Questions for anyone who has actually run this setup:
- Will 285/50-22 rub at full lock or during suspension compression on stock 22×9 Limited wheels?
- If you did get rubbing, where exactly (inner fender liner, swaybar link, bumper, steering stop)? Was it minor or did it require trimming, rolling, offset change, or a wider rim?
- Aside from the speedometer being ~4% off (bigger overall diameter), any other real-world downsides you noticed (mpg, steering feel, alignment, load rating/clearance issues)?
- Would you run 285/50-22 again on a stock-height Ram with OEM 22s?
Tires I’m considering (please comment on how each behaves/fitwise):
- Nitto Terra Grappler G3 (Terra Grappler G3s)
- Falken WildPeak ATW / WildPeak A/T4W (WildPeak AT4Ws)
- Yokohama Geolandar A/T (or Geolandar A/T G015)
- Toyo Open Country A/T
- Tire models I’m open to — any other solid A/T or ATX recommendations for a comfy ride and good on/off-road grip?
