Going to look at a truck thursday after work, pick n pull says its a 1995. If its a short bed will it fit my 01?

Welcome, now FYI if it is a 94 the earlier production trucks...the beds are a little different

Im not 100% sure but from what LMC truck catalog says:

1995 US models Built models up to 3/27/95 and Mexico models built up to 4/10/95. Left hand tailgate hinge inside diameter measures .85'

1995 US Models built after 3/27/95 and Mexico models built after 4/10/95 have a left hand tailgate hinge inside diameter of 1.33'

it includes the 1994 models as well..

they have the smaller ones..i think

You are correct the 94s have the different tailgate area.
