I am working on a 2016 Ram 1500 5.7 4x4. I have a 4wd serv light on and no lights on the buttons on the transfer case switch. They do light up briefly with key on. I have 12v to the switch and 7-9v on the orange wire. I am getting a code u1440 as well. Checked the plug on the dtcm and found corrosion, cleaned it up. Replaced the transfer case actuator motor about a year ago. Checked the connection on the transfer case actuator looks good. No sound like the actuator is trying to do anything. Checked the front axel disconnect wires. Soaked in oil but look ok. Cleaned up the connector. Not sure where to go next. Any advise is appreciated.

Hello did you get this figured out? I have similar issue with my 2012 only mine was caused by hitting a deer. When turning 4wd on I get nothing no click no dash lights. “Serv 4wd” came on intermittently before but no effect to its operation until this incident. Also numerical coolant temp reads - - -. Only wires I’ve seen damaged are headlight/foglights wiring. Checked fuses

I havent had a chance to tear apart yet. Been raining here, will hopefully have an update in a few days but any suggestions in the meantime would be greatly appreciated.
