I've got my moms truck in the shop which is only 4 years older than mine: 2009 1500 Hemi 5.7 4WD. Few months ago the truck wouldn't shift into 4wd and was flashing the 4wd lights. Checked over everything and found that the transfer case actuator was bad. Since I was there I just replaced the front axle disconnect as well. Drove fine for a week then she needed to jump start the truck and the #57 fuse blew. Replaced the fuse and all was well. Drove fine for another few weeks, then she jumped it again and it popped. Figured maybe it was just too much power for the box. Today she was in stand still traffic on a hill and tried to engage the 4wd. It didn't shift and the lights came on, blew the fuse again.
Current Plan of Action: Check over the wiring leading to both actuators, Locate wiring leading to the transfer case control module to test for power and ground... Anyone run across the same thing or have recommendations? Appreciate it!
