Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this? I have a 2014 ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 and over the winter, I was getting a check engine light with code P0740 for torque converter lockup. It would come and go throughout the season. I could feel it shift into 6th gear, but then the lockup would fail when the light came on.
Then, back in February, the check engine light went off and hasn’t come back since—and now the lockup is working just fine. It’s really throwing me off. I was seriously considering getting a built transmission, but now I’m hesitant. Feels like the second I spend that money, the trans will decide to give out.
Any feedback or similar experiences would be appreciated!
