2013 Sport 5.7L, I'm having to change my PDC due to my a/c keeps going off/on by itself and the blue wire below the TDC gets blazing hot. Mechanic shop said the TDC is the issue but to go ahead and change the blower motor and resistor as well.
First off money is an issue so don't beat me up too bad. I'm getting a new TDC but looking at aftermarket fan motor. The dealer wants $300 for a fan motor. Any suggestions on a good aftermarket brand?
From what I've been reading VDO/Continental is good and 4 Seasons brand as well. I know the dealer is the go to but just can't afford that right now.

Now I'm grasping at straws. I watched a youtube video and 1 guy said change the short 40 amp a/c fuse to a tall one that would allow for better contact. Google say not to install a taller fuse as it would cause additional overheating issues among other things. Anyone ever tried the longer fuse? There is room in the PDC box.
Thanks
