Greetings all!

I am contemplating the purchase of a 7x14 tandem axle cargo trailer and plan on getting a Tekonsha TBC and a set of Airlift 1000's for my 2012 Express RCSB.

I'm shopping on Amazon for the TBC and adapter cable. Rather than mounting the TBC on the dash, I think I'd like to mount it just right of my right knee on a bracket mounted to the seat bracket that holds the seat to the floor. Is the cable long enough to reach that far under the carpet or would I have to splice in some more wiring?

Also, when I try to find Airlift #60818 on Amazon, it tells me that it doesn't fit my 2012 Ram Express. According to Airlift's site, 60818 is the correct part #. Is this an Amazon glitch or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Although Tekonsha is quite flexible in their mounting angles (most TBC's are very strict on what angle and direction it can be mounted), I'm pretty sure you will have to confirm if how you want it mounted will work or cause problems with its performance.

As for the cable, it will definitely be too short to reach that far. They are only meant to run several inches under your dash.

Thanks to all for the responses. Batram, thank you for the thoughts on orientation. I did look at the P3's instructions on line and it looks like can mount it vertically. I would think I can splice extension wiring to extend the connection cable.
