I have used alfaobd on 2 14 rams without much trouble. recently got a 2020 rebel and as always I run my tires softer. On the new to me rebel I knew I needed the bypass cable. got the cable (12+8 amazon) and attempted to backup my file, It said successful. Ok next I attempted to pull my pin from the rfhib. I got a message ( failed. invalid security key). so I read a couple posts that stated rfhub reset not needed tpms change. OK good, so I went in to the bcm and attempted to lower the warning threshold for pressure in the bcm. I lowered front to 40 and rear to 30. My pressure at this time was F-45 R-35. backed out cycled the key twice. the front warning cleared and went white and the rear stay (red) in alarm. now I have driven the truck several times and it has had days to reset. i went back in and lowered then a little more and the result is front is fine the rear in in alarm and the message says to inflate the rears to 24 psi my rears are in alarm at 36 psi........not sure what is going on. now the message I remember seeing says something about max pressure. in alfa am I selecting the psi I want to run (F=45 R-35) or selecting warning point? I went to my google drive to see what the backup had selected for the pressure and found out the it copied the file last pulled from my sons truck. not the one i uploaded from the ram. So now I don't have a backup saved......I renamed my file right after the upload completed to my2020 rebel. I selected by date so i know i renamed the correct one.
I have attempted to pull the rfhub pin with alfaobd, a launch x431 and my old autel scanner with the 12+8 bypass and get the same message.....the rebal pressures by the way call for (F-55 R-45). truck rides like crap.
thanks in advance

Sometimes they’re picky about lowering the thresholds when the low tire warning is already on.
Set the thresholds back to what they were originally. Inflate the tires back up to meet those thresholds, and all warnings go away. Then set the thresholds back down to where you want them, and then deflate the tires down where you want them.

ending result was my own doing......I thought I was setting the warning point for pressure. turns out i needed to set the set point for the pressure i want to run. once i did that drove a couple time the warnings all cleared. also a rf hub reset is not needed for this change. still don't know why i can't pull my pin. i have the 12+8 and alfa obd...

I'm not very good with this program. But, my understanding is that users are not able to obatin PIN from the RF in this generation due to security measures from the factory. Only dealers and some locksmiths can get that info. The PIN is also a rolling code, so the PIN you get will not likely function when you next want to use the PIN.
Please note that there are far more knowledgeable people on this subject than I.
This was a big topic when the RF hubs were being destroyed by leaks in the rear of the cab; many of our fellow owners tried to obtain the PIN to validate their new RF hubs. Quite the mess if that part fails.
