I found that I had to get a different remote for my garage doors and then pair to that one. The one I had wouldn't pair up, but the larger lift master and chamberlain remotes paired up fine. Not sure why. The one that didn't pair was a keychain style. It worked fine to open the door, but for some reason my homelink didn't like the signal. At least you guys got your Homelink to connect to your garage door opener.....I can't even get mine to do anything and following the instructions to the letter.
I was also told that if there are LED light bulbs in the opener that they could possibly cause interference with setting up the Homelink in the vehicle....which is odd, because the manufacturer remote works fine with the LED bulbs in the opener. (Chamberlain garage door opener).
My 2016 ram is doing the same thing, seems to be getting worse. I have noticed that when my homelink will not transmit there is no message on my dash message board. When it works properly the dashboard reads to correspond to the button pushed, like (CHANNEL 1 TRANSMITTING). has anyone else noticed this? . Dealer tells me they can't find anything wrong.
