Audi spark plugs and coils

What could of been easy was turned into a hassle because of a old address on ECS site I should of seen it but the credit card was current so I had to contact the current owner and they shipped it to me.Retirement is rotting my brain. Anyhow I bought it with 5k coil went out at 8k when I was driving out of an underground garage so I’ve done them every 15k till now at 18 k and sure enough it was mis firing. So I ordered them and immediately tried to stop the order but because it was free shipping with fed ex no dice. $11 mistake.

I can’t think of a reason , it started before I had it tuned. Have tried different coils but ecs has more choices

None of the five Audi's we've owned have gone through coils like that.

I know nothing about Audi's,but that short of coil life does seem a bit excessive

Here’s the plugs,I’m going to try and find out how to test the coils,that way I can only keep the good ones with me as a spare. It has a stage 2 revo tune and methanol injection but it only kicks in when really punching it.Or bad gas.

If i was to guess it might be the coils off the right 2 plugs,as they show more wear then the 2 left plugs do.

They were within 5 ohms of each other so it might be something else.The fuel pump and cam follower was replaced about 40 k or 7 yrs ago.It will get 60 degree inside parking till I need the truck.

Is that the high pressure fuel pump?
They were problematic to say the least

Timing is about when I had mine, but mutter Volkswagen paid for mine

I was so pissed though, because mine was around 86k miles and they refused to toss a new timing chain in there while they had it apart

I have 10 k on the new timing chain and while I was in there I put a new oil pump in. It’s been a fun car so far.

Mine was a passage with the 1.8 turbo and a 5 speed
It was tuned so instead of holding 5 psi of boost it would hold 17

That thing would scoot
