bed shape/size 2014 vs 2019?

I'm looking at a 2019 ram 2500 that is the same color as my 2014 ram 1500 w/shorter cab and 6'4" bed. I'd love to be able to slide my topper off my bed and onto the new truck and save at least $3K on a new topper.

Does the newer 6'4" bed match the previous gen 6'4" bed? When I bought the topper it was on a 2500 and it turned out they use the same bed as the 1500 (lucky me)

This is really my only reason for trying to find a newer truck in the same color. Damn toppers are too expensive!

The 2019 is the same basic bed with a different tail gate. In theory, it should fit.

It will fit if both beds are the same length. The HD's are still using the same sheet metal as the 4th gen 1500's.
