so some kids played a game of tic-tac-toe in the salt covered part of my truck and it scratched up the TrueBlue paint pretty good! My last ride was a wrangler that was strictly for off road so i never gave a crap about waxing it. Anyone have pics of before and afters of scrathes they were able to buff out so i can get an idea whether mine will buff out? currently in the teens and snowy where i leve so i cant wax her just yet... thanks

rub your nail over the scratch...if it catches, it probably will not buff out...

Oh man, I feel for ya! There are a lot of short term band aids that won't solve the issue, like Scratch X. Sure, it'll look great for a week or two, but the next time you wash it, all the filler will wash off too.

Find a good detailing shop and have them correct it.

I feel like something like that is just clear coat damage, and not paint damage. Could you post some pics?

If you can't feel it with your nails. You should be able to buff it out.

A shiny one
Pictures would definitely help.

+1 on the fingernail test. If you can catch your nail in it, it's going to take some more extreme measures to fix than just polishing.

That being said, salt residue shouldn't be enough to get through the clear coat, I bet you'll be fine. :)
