I have a 2015 Ram Sport with 22 inch factory rims. Well….heard a squeek coming from the front and found my rim was broken 3 of the 5 spokes in the exact same spot. I drive it every day and have for 42000 miles and have not hit any large pot holes or anything hard. Has anyone seen this issue. The dealership is blaming me 100% with a road hazard issue and I worry about the remaining 3 rims. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.44E16347-63D0-4F0D-BBA2-27F1EAF35083.jpeg

Do you know what torque spec was used during rotation?

Any better pictures? Or at least more? Some angled shots as well as from the back side. I’m going to guess it’s not from them rotating the tires and torquing them just because of where they cracked at but more of a stress fracture. Also looks like the one spoke has a hole through it as well as the crack. Are you the only driver of this vehicle?

Only pic for now but plan on posting additional. I am the daily driver. It’s so odd the location is the same on all 3. There is actually a hole…odd as well. The whole thing has me scratching my head.

Yeah ......don't let the dealer **** you for the cost of a new rim ...just bite the bullet , go aftermarket and find you a nice set of 22's you like.

I went the cracked rim route. Unless you have a video, 5 eyewitnesses, you get the idea , the runaround to avoid accountability is unlimited, from any and all who worked that wheel all the way to manufacture who will not help.

Had to tell a shop manager that I was so disgusted, it was not worth my effort to talk to him anymore. Why? His body language and words indicated he had already decided before he talked to me that any and all issues would be put back on me. He would not yield, even to be mildly helpful.

I went to a longtime repair shop who I trust, talked to the owner, and fixed my problem inexpensively and quick.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust any of those rims. That kind of wheel failure will lead to immediate loss of control. At highway speeds that can be very dangerous. Definitely contact NHSTA to report the issue. They can't really help on an individual case but if they get enough reports they will open an investigation. For something like this that will result in sudden loss of control the bar to start an investigation is pretty low but they need the reports.

Send in a report. Might take some doing but get it done.
We need to avoid the apathetic route (not you)people are adopting.

Yeah sure, get some new wheels on your dime but file that report. Keep your expectations low with the feds.
