Bug/hood protector for 2500. Not many choices. What are you using?

Hello,

The front edge of the hood on the 2500 seems very open to road debris damage. The only protector I have found that I semi like is fron Lund as shown which is a three piece. What are you using to protect the front edge of hood and fenders over lights?

I have been thinking about using some of that 3M film but for now I have not done a thing and knock on wood I don't have a single chip in the hood paint or grill.

I have the Mopar one from a ram dealer, I bought online for about 118 bucks. Fit perfect, had a piece of film to protect the paint where it contacts the paint. Took 20 min. to install. I got chrome to match the grill.

Within a few weeks after I bought mine I had the 3M film done on the hood. Has worked great so far through the Colorado winters and gravel/sand they throw down everywhere.

I put it on the day I got the truck, so I couldn’t tell you. Sorry. I can’t imagine it would affect it that much.
