These guys make the best noise filter. I use one similar to this but with different connectors. Zero engine hum. They also have all the cables and connectors you would want to mount this in your vehicle.

Yea I understand completely about the mounting position. But I my situation doesn't call for a permanent or obtrusive mount. I only use it my personal truck for 2 - 3 trips a year.

That previous mount looks interesting and will work just fine for what I need it for. Of course the fire stick will need changed for something better. Just need to contact them and see if it can be mounted on the pass side. I have already removed the factory radio antenna as I use xm/Sirius/internet radio.

Did you ever found who made that CB mount you had a picture of with the bent brackets? That is perfect for mine and prevents me from having to screw through the plastic on the side. May try to fabricate one this weekend, but it looks awesome. Maybe even line it with a little foam to ensure it is a snug fit and won't rattle.

No I really have no idea. It could be just a generic mount with some homemade bends. But shouldn't be to hard to copy and even improve on alittle for fit.
