Oooo yeah I havent had a problem in a year and half now I think, I had a buddy snap his off though lol
The trucks just shy of 7 ft and I have 3ft that are just barely above the roof, maybe 3"
I had a 3' firestik on my car and switched it to a base loaded 30" and didn't really notice any difference in reception after tuning
My truck sits at 9'4" with 2 5ft antennas

I had a Cobra 29 LTD Classic and had a 100 watt modulator. I ran a wilson 1000 antena and it would get out 40 miles plus. I could talk skip too. It was awesome!! I could light up a florecent light bulb buy just keying the mic.

Damn that it crazy, I want to run something along those lines but no money:homoswitch:

I am using the 4' firestik antennas with the firerstik stakehole mount (I am using the offset mounts due to my tonneau cover) with the firestik spring. They work like a charm. I have the Cobra 18WXSTII mounted in dash.

I remember one night i went to Hardies and ordered my food. While waiting at the drive through someone wanted to know where i was so I answered and was talking for like 5 seconds. the manager came to my truck and asked me not to talk while i was there on my cb. My voice was on their PA haha. I had a lot of fun with that setup I had.

Lmao, that reminds me of American Pie

I opened the cup holder and mounted mine in the space between the cup holder and top, works great and still can use the cup holder and doesn't take any extra room? I'll get a pic tomorrow

Mine are about 18 inches or2 ft from the cab and stick up above by like 3 1/2 foot

Mine are bolted on to my tool box with a mirror mount, idk how you would do it with a hard top

You don't have to have them at these specs, most put them up against the cab, that's all good but think not the best for reception
