It wasn't really "louder", it was a tick. The leak was where it closed, the butterfly wasn't shutting all the way.

It got REALLY bad after the first snow. It didn't shut and was rattling around. That was fun.

do you think a monthly basis of spending 5 minutes on cleaning it with a hard bristtle brush and a wd40 bath on moving parts would help.. Im thinking the wd wouldnt hurt anything and just burn off, what do you think? you think it would help? Im undecided on installing it since I read your thread I heard the ones that "ticks" is the ones you dont wanna mess with..theyre tweaked LOL
