Not sure exactly where to post this but since my truck is a 2014 6.7L Heavy Duty I thought I would here. I just purchased the truck and have noticed a fairly loud clicking behind the dash. This occurs when I get in after my proximity locks unlock and before starting it. It also seems to occur more after being driven and warm. The series of clicks occur twice for just a couple seconds each. Not sure if this is normal or something I need to deal with. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

I've heard it too anytime I sit in my truck without starting it. No clue what it is, just sounds like some actuators actuating.

Mine does it too. I believe it's just sensors and modules booting up getting ready for power on.

There is always some small motor noise in mine also. Nothing to be concerned with.

There is some noise from the HVAC actuators that is normal. Even some a few minutes after shutdown. If the noise is an obviously loud clicking, its likely a blend door actuator that has failed. I had the rear a/c blend door actuator on a Chrysler Aspen I used to own go out and it make loud clicking noises at random times when the rear air was on. The replacement part number was the same for the two in the dash and the rear.

How bad is the clicking? It might be one of the blend doors going bad. I have enough of those to go bad to realize the sound. It is a nightmare to fix.
