I have see a few trucks running around with stainless steel cold front panels in there grills, and some of them have been sports like mine. I have searched all over for a set that will fit a Sport Grill, but all of the ones I have found say without Sport Package. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, but I am really looking for the stainless steel inserts that are solid panels like the picture. The guy in the video I took the picture from said that they are from Lund, but all of theirs say non-sport.

I had a friend put them on his Chevy and two transmissions later the stealership told him to take them off or they'd void his warranty.

Why would that be? Do they restrict air flow that much?

That's what they said. I thought it was the 1600 gallon water trailers and duck hunting.

Likely the combination of the two. You're not really ment to tow with the cold fronts in place. Or maybe only 2 (or just the upper on a Chevy).

Lund used to make the Cold Front inserts for the Sport grills, I sold a set before (but it was many moons ago, when 2Gs where still new)

Those are exactly what I was looking for, but I wasn't expecting $115 haha. In the near future though.

What are these for?

They are 'Cold Front' inserts. Diesels in particular will cool themselves off just idling, so if you're under light load, and it's cold outside, you have to block off the grill to keep the temperatures up and the engine happy.

Most gasser trucks wouldn't 'need' them, but they also don't need all the air-flow with normal DD coniditons so it'll warm up quicker in the winter.
