Just came across this today. Thinking of heading down to dealer. May be too good to be true, but $129/month lease for a 17' Ram 4x4 Quad has got me hook line and sinker

Ontario Canada in CDN dollars, so free in the US LOL!

Zoom in its there. I am more interested in the cheap 24 month lease. That is 1158 down

That's only if you qualify for all the rebates.... which no one ever does. Seems like the dealerships always have a reason why you can't get it for those prices.

I recently went in to a Kia dealer because they were advertising 0 down leases for $99/month. Wanted something newer for the wife. That price was with a whole list of discounts included, some of which were military, college student, etc. Also that was for less than 10k miles a year and of course top tier credit. Salesman was real upfront and told us right on the lot, even before showing us a car that realistically it would be around $159-$179 per month.

So in your case I wouldn't be surprised if actual numbers are in the low 200's, depending on money down. Which is a pretty damn good price I would say. As long as you keep the mileage within the limits.

That lease option doesn't seem bad if you're a low mileage driver.

How much ch do you drive a year?

The mileage over cost is typically $0.25/mile

The deal is 18,000kms.

Is that total mileage or annual mileage?

I live 21 minutes away from work but still drive 20,000 (32,186 km) a year.

A 18,000 a year for 2 years. Only good for low mileage drivers like myself.

CD, i hope it works out for you. one thing i have learned after buying cars over the years, the odds are never in your favor. the dealership exists for the sole purpose of making money.

I understand what everyone is saying. It is a bait truck, bare bones nothing. As you add opinions the price goes way up.
I bought my used 09' because I wasn't ready to drop 50k on the truck I really wanted.
However my used truck loan still costs me almost 400/month but only 3 years.
We don't get the crazy deals you guys get in the US. Not to mention the 13% sales tax we pay.

I think i'll just hold out for the new truck I really want.
In the mean time mod my 09'

Leasing is pointless. Just take them a brief case full of money and drop it off. Cause you get nothing in return. No investment there. Just my .02.

I found the same thing on our local dealer.

Wound up using the car buying service through USAA insurance to locate a dealer that would give the best discount. Once they got started doing the paperwork, the finance guy said something about comparing the USAA price to another price with current incentives. Not entirely sure which way they went on this but I think it benefits you to have a car buying service price that they have to use or otherwise match.

For reference, I bought in March 2016 a regular cab 1500 tradesman for $21,600 u.s.

For $26 more a month you could buy it and not have to worry about mileage or "wear and tear" (which they'll stick it to you with when you turn the lease back in).

The 155 is bi weekly. So a lot more than 26 a month

I'm confused.

The thread title says "Purchase" but the thread is about a lease?

21 posts and someone finally caught the OPs misunderstanding of the word "lease" lol

Its about both. There is an option to purchase or lease. Which is better?

Nope its both just leaning towards lease. I am a low mileage driver. However I have never leased before. But for 129 bucks i would consider it

if the truck has everything you want and the lease is 129.00 per month, for 1000 or so down, its a good deal. pay attention to the mileage allowed and price per mile if over. also pay attention to the purchase price at the end of the lease.
