New to forum and unable to find best place to start with my issue. I have an 04 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L V8. When stopping a little harder than normal, my truck feels like the downshift is delayed causing the RPMs to drop and sometimes stalls or nearly stalls. If I put in Neutral, everything is delayed until shifting back into Drive and then the problem resumes for the RPMs. The shifting is never hard at any point. I have no check engine light or codes stored. I replaced the entire solenoid shift pack a few years ago due to a solenoid F putting it into limp mode. I know the parts were revised for an issue of the filter not pulling up transmission fluid for the pickup tube. I thoroughly cleaned the throttle body. Any other recommendations or does it sound like a downshift solenoid? Thank you for any guidance.
