Delmonico paint code

I have a 2016 1500 in Delmonico red. Paint code is prv. It is also the code for dark garnet red, velvet red and passion red, Octane Red, Delmonico Red, Passion Red, Red Pearl, and Snazzberry depending on the vehicle. I picked up a can and it is clearly darker that the delmonico. the Older rams using the dark garnet red color are clearly a different shade than the delmonico when sitting next to each other. The dark garnet looks more raspberry to me but clearly different. How can I get a can of touch up prv that matches the delmonico color because it clearly did not match. Was definitely darker. I also noticed it refers to prv/nrv. What’s the nrv mean? Should I be looking for that instead of the prv

MY 2016 Ram was Delmonico Ugly, whoops Delmonico Red when i bought it

The upper Fascia, ( the part above the front bumper ) has the Red Pearl & Passion Red paint Stickers on it

I know what this website says but I thought I read somewhere that this color code was also used for another Mopar red. Just want to make sure I’m getting the right one

I dont know if this is the problem but I do know that there are "different" names for colors which will have the same base color but different primers and clear coats will give it a different color tone. If you did a test spray on say a white object it may be why the color looks different than what's on the truck

I'm also looking for Delmonico Red (prv) touch up paint for my 2016.
I will look at automotive touchup also and another that I have heard of is dr.colorchip.
Thanks for the information as it gets crazy with all the different names for paint colors over different years and models

Im going to give these guys a try. Prices are very reasonable too. I personally have a small paint chip the size of a chocolate chip on my bed. I think I'll order the primer, paint, and clear coat in the brush bottle and give that a shot.

Ramhemi18, they are good, my wife’s car( toyota) and sons Mazda needed touch up. I bought both from Automotive touch up, plus a can of stay to do his mirror and there was no discernible difference in paint colour!
