Is there any?

I've been trying to figure out what the difference is between a 2019 2500 and 3500 SRW rear axles, and it seems to be only the spring and the sticker.

If you have a 3500 SRW with the HO Cummins, it has the same 12" differential as the DRW.

I am pretty certain the standard output Cummins and Hemi 3500 SRW has the same differential as the 2500.

What years are you comparing? The 2500 with have a multi-link coil rear suspension, whereas the 3500 will have leaf springs.

2019 for both. I have a 2500. Just wondering what the difference is between it and the 2019 3500

Both have the same frame now so the difference is going to be having the option for DRW with the 3500 and its having more load capacity with its rear leaf springs but having a harsher ride. The 2500 has a slightly higher towing capacity and the 3500 has a higher (potentially) payload capacity with the DRW version. Only the 3500 has the HO diesel engine as an option.

Both models are only available with the "anti-spin" rear differential which is not a true limited slip differential.

If you do get a 3500 with the Cummins HO you also get a 12" rear axle in SRW or DRW. This axle only comes on the 3500 with the HO Cummins. As a side note, you also get a heavier duty transfer case in the 3500/HO Cummins/ with 4WD

I believe my 2014 2500 has the exact same rear axle as the 3500. I was debating on an RV message board recently and a guy posted a bunch of part numbers saying that the newer (2018 - present?) 3500 SRW axle was a different part than the 2500 now. I didn't check the part #s as I was only talking about my 2014. I guess my point is I'm pretty sure the axles were the exact same at one time but they may not be now. The 3500 HO Aisin thing adds some complexity too.

Here's the thread that might have some info - the relevant part starts around post #49 - part numbers are listed a few posts lower.

So the 3500 does have a limited slip? I just jacked my rear axle up to test fit chains and the wheels wouldnt rotate, meaning it has a LSD probably.

Wouldn't rotate at all? Did you put the truck in neutral?

Yes I got them to spin after putting in neutral. I just did a vin search on FCA for an equipment listing and it shows Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle for my truck. Happy to have.
