Diffrences in 04 Rams.

Ok, I'm talking about 2004 Ram's only.

I don't know if people know there are differences in the coolant overflow bottle/washer bottles in the 2004 model year. some have both connected and others are separated. I have been trying to figure out where the change was made and why.


They were built in 4 assembly plants: Warren truck(S) St Louis Truck(J), Saltillo,Mexico(G) and Largo Alberto,Mexico(M)

the ones I'm talking about are 1500's (Exc SRT10)

does anyone have any clue what the reasoning is??

Was the 03's separated? as some of components may carry over into the early 04 build dates.

May also play part on the PCM/TCM differences of the early 04'ers and the late 04'ers.

Ive been looking at Rams on ebay trying to determine the build dates,Vin sequence, assembly plant,and engine option.

It looks like a lot of the 4.7's got the 2 bottles. and early Hemis. haven't figured the change over.

Mine is an early 04 but has the 2 bottle side by side but seperate.
