Do I need custom tune with 3.55 gears?

If you learned the correct way to tap shift it rather than leave it in drive it would be a 5.5 sec

Is there any thread detailing this? I've never had much luck with tap shifting these trucks.

So, i've installed HF tune "91-Octane-hf" and the first run was 5.80 seconds 0-60! that's not bad!!!! I have to send Sean some logs, may be it would be even better

Common misconception.. When Sean asks for logs its not to tweak your tune, its to make sure its running safe. 9 time out of 10 he will leave it as is.

Your HF tune is tweaked when he sends it to you. He dosnt sent a "canned" tune and work from there, he sends your tune based on your mods, then asks for logs to see how its running on your truck. so the first tune you get is the tweaked tune for your truck.

HOWEVER.. he does work on his tunes through out the year and improves it and sends out updates. I have gotten 3 updates since, and asked him to fix a few things for me and they have all be noticeably better than the last.

So he sent "B version" and the best result is 5.78 sec, I'am satisfied
