Does anyone else think the rearview camera sucks on new trucks

I have a 2014 Ram and every time my camera comes on it looks out of focus and blurry. I have the premium 8.4 NAV screen. Anyone else agree? Or do I have a bad system?

The camera on my '12 is like that and I just noticed it getting "static-y" lately...the camera in my wife's Subaru is head and shoulders above mine...

The camera in my '12 has always been sharp and crystal clear. Maybe I'm just lucky

No issues with mine thus far, except on the real humid mornings with dew.

I think a few members on the forum have had the same issue but had the dealership take care of it. I would recommend taking it back to the dealer.

It seems pretty clear until I drive my wife's Acura RDX, which blows it away. It also provides three different views and one of those is a hitch camera even though it couldn't pull a bicycle. On the down side, her screen is tiny so even though it looks better it's actually harder to see.

So to summarize, I like what the ram has but I'd like to see it have the hitch view as well.

Mine is dirty right now due to driving in the rain, but I LOVE it. No issues here.

I can see my hitch perfectly! I use it to back into the boat trailer and get it dead on. I also back into my garage daily and can get it within 3/4 of an inch to the wall.

I think that may be the key, right there.

I drive a Ford transit for work and the backup camera is very clear, but it is a 2x2 screen in the rearview mirror, vs my 4x6 screen on my radio.

I have an older OEM camera (no distance lines), bought a kit and installed it myself.
My backup camera is not as sharp, but it is not blurry.

If you have a blurry picture, there is probably an issue. (however, depends what you are considering blurry)

My 2013 Laramie was very clear. My new 2014 sport looks like crap. It doesn't bother me but wish it looked as good as my Laramie.

Yes, my 2012 sucks...I mean you can see everything fine, but it is not very clear at all.

It's kinda like you are looking thru a window that has a layer of clear plastic on it to keep the cold out that is not tight agaisnt the glass.....you can see, but it is not a clear picture at all

mines pretty good but mines in the uconnect 5.0 so its a small screen.

It is definitely not an HD camera.

I have the older 2009-10 vintage camera and it works OK.
