I have a 2020 dot hemi. I put in a controller from infotainment.com, and I spent the extra $150 for the programmer. Took me under an hour, and works perfectly.

i bought one off ebay...said it was OEM a couple of years ago for $135. ( they're a bit more now) took about 30 minutes to install and the dealer flashed it for maybe 50 bucks. It's worked perfect ever since, truck recognizes the trailer when hooked up.

The only hairy part was i had to pull that big 12 inch screen off carefully, but i watched the youtube videos and it went well. I was nervous yanking on that screen...lol

Tekonsha P3 is a quality product, I have one in my Ram, have towed a toyhauler many thousands of miles. Super easy install. And I used a P3 in a previous vehicle too. No problems, works fine. But as others have said the OEM built in unit is probably even nicer.
To be honest I like the way the P3 works more than the OEM controller.
