Could always do something like this every time you show your engine bay....

Works every time.

That is a good idea.

I am going with Red accents, so I would need something like this:

The lunchbox battery cover is insulation to protect it from engine bay heat, it probably wouldnt matter if you removed it lots of people do but if i was going to mess around with the batt location or even get two i would put them in the box.
I think its charonblk that has a crazy awesome dual batt setup in the box with 0 gauge wire and other electric things i forget now
Maybe now is the chance to get a super sound system to justify the dual batt setup :pepper:

I don't think I am gonna go to the extent of moving my battery or adding one... I just remembered that I have to reinstall my stock intake and take the Vararam off, to pass Cali inspection.

I will just get a nice cover and get rid of the lunch bag. :)

3gcustomz Engine Half Covers w/Logo Cutouts

The first bling of many arrived today. They will go to powder coating tomorrow. The back plates will be painted black behind the D and red behind the R. :)

So the 97 Wrangler ECM cover will work? My friend was talking about that to me. He just couldn't remember what car it came of of. He thought it was a nd cherokee

Looks like it only has three slots not four like our PCMs?

For the hoses and wires, it can get wire loom. They have cooler stuff out there but most of it is not split.

You have to cut off the slots for the harness on the bottom of the cover but that area is unseen anyway. The cover will fit the ECM but it won't snap onto the bolts...I used double sided tape on the top o the ecm and it's been on for close to a year.

Speaking of engine bling... I was thinking since I did my thermostat that I wanted to swap out the water neck to something more noticable. its down by the catch can and easily visible. But on Billet Technologies, they only list the water necks for the Challenger 5.7L and 6.1L Hemi's and nothing under the Ram trucks section. So will this one work in a 2011 1500 5.7L?
Billet Technology Water Neck 5.7 & 6.1 Hemi's

Yes, it will work.

^^^ I am not sure about that.

But I ordered the Grand Cherokee fuse box cover from Billet Tech, and they swore it would not fit my Ram and they took it off my order. Lol!

I told them it was my responsibility to make it fit and that I wouldn't return it, so put it back on my damn order! :) I'll let you guys know if and how it fits when I get it.

It fits...you saw it on my truck. Several Billet Tech parts cross over. The Challenger door locks and bezels work on the trucks too.

You can play with the parts too...I took the black door lock kit and turned the edges down using a drill and sandpaper then spun them in aluminum polish to make them match the dash knobs. Little details can go a long way. I know it's not an underhood part...but you never know where you can use a good trick. A socket head bolt fits in the bezel perfectly.

If you want some shiny stuff very few people have look up Billet & Acrylic for some of their billet hood strut covers...those are super cheap. I think they were about 30-40 bucks a pair?

Yes, they make some good stuff. They made my fuse box cover for my GTP among other things. They will do anything you want as long as they have the stock piece to get the dimensions

Thanks for confirming. I thought you had it, too.

Last week, I order the Billet Tech ones in red. Along with, all the caps, TB cover, fuse box. Under my hood is gonna be spicey! :pepper:

I'll check out B & A and see what else they have, too. I am still trying to figure out something to hide my battery, and to improve the look of the brake/steering fluid reservoirs.

Could you post a pic of your entire engine bay, please? You are giving me these little teaser pics! Lol! :)

Think outside the box....and hit a few old car shows. I walk around those and snap pics of things I think I can modify for the truck.
Another cheap thing to have made is a polished upper radiator hose...maybe 30 bucks in parts and someone to weld it up? On mine I used Billet Specialties clamps but I needed a way to secure the hose to the fan shroud....I wound up using a 1 1/2" roll bar clamp used to mount bottles. Even the bolt holes lined up....you can see it pretty good here. Don't worry about finding Ram specific parts....just find parts and make them do what you want. It's actually more fun than just bolting on stuff that already fits.

I really don't have any good ones. It's hard to get a decent pic of. Inside is too dark and outside is too much glare.

Beautiful and some great tips, thanks! I was telling someone the other day of the symmetry and balance your truck has under the hood, with the placement of everything.

I will started looking at parts for other vehicles, I am too limited with Ram or Chrysler specific parts...

Edit: that pic above is nice, thanks! I just stared at it for about 4 minutes!

Did you mean "fender" and "grill" or "figure" and "girl"? ;)

Both!!! But in all reality I'm looking for a grill shell exactly like that.......one of those fender girls wouldn't be bad either!
