After painting my flares, I want to add some type of coating on the bottom. Maybe bedliner? Undercoating? Black paint? Not really sure what would be the best application here.

Why even do it? Because my truck is white, and the flares will be too. It will look terrible after 10 mins on the road.

I would apply a matte black strip of vinyl.

bedliner material seems like the best bet, should be thick enuff to hold up to rock ships and anything that will build up inside of the wheelwell!

I think bedliner will look the best, on day 1. After that, the roughness of it is hard to clean.

I don't wash my truck but maybe once every month or two.
