Greetings & Happy New Year!

After much reading of past posts both here and on a couple other forums, I bit the bullet today and swapped out my factory fog lamp bulbs for 9005's. What a difference in side to side lighting! After driving around for about twenty minutes, I could feel that the lenses were only slightly warm. As much as I would like to upgrade my low/high bulb, I am quite impressed with what my fogs are now doing. I can see why some only drive with fogs on after this swap. Since I rarely drive at night, I think I'll wait until warmer weather until I tackle pulling the grill and headlights for an upgraded H13. Any thoughts?

I just did the same thing put in 9005 silver stars in the fogs and they rock. I will also be swapping out my low beams as soon as it warms up.

Fogs just rotate out and back of their housings; nothing to remove except a plastic wire bundle clip.
If you're going to replace the low beams, read up on using H9s instead of H11s; significantly more light output at the same wattage at the expense of shorter life, but with out lights we need al the output we can get. I'm swapping my upgraded H11s out for H9s tonight.

I know this is an old thread, but I've been looking for info for the last 1/2 hour, so the 9005s in the dogs are a direct replacement for the 9145s? They don't get too hot? I really need some better light output so I don't have to remove my headlight covers every night.
