The net result of a engine build is always going to be the sum of the parts -AND- how they work together. Full stop.
I have dyno'd countless 318s and 360s (and their stroker variants) where great care was placed on the cylinder head, or camshaft, or the shortblock as a whole...but didnt consider that the exhaust, or the induction system would be a major bottleneck.
The beauty of the recipes we advertise is that everything is meant to "daisy chain" together. Meaning, rather than having to upgrade parts 2-3x over as your goals change, everything is meant to work with one another. And the results reflect that.
Our 350 HP recipe is simple (not necessarily cheap). Intake manifold, full exhaust, clutch fan removal, 52mm TB, intake tube of your choosing, 1.7 rockers (optional), FRP canned tune. Thats it.
The only items needed to upgrade to our 425-450 HP recipe is ported/aftermarket heads and our MK82 cam. The 1.7s rockers will not work on the aftermarket heads/too much lift which is why they are elective.
