I have no idea of what you speak-------LOL
Jay
It's actually not a bad idea if I end up putting my media server and projector in the garage already, those are the big expenses lol

Ok fellas, moved in Thursday. Here's some pics of my blank canvas of a garage. Probably going to order the epoxy kit tomorrow. The floor looks like crap with drywall mud and even cement chunks splattered on it. I'm thinking I'm going to have to diamond grinding it and patch some cracks. They also tore the hell out of the cement on the exterior by the single car door. Wtf?IMG_20180724_184453.jpg IMG_20180724_184507.jpg IMG_20180724_184551.jpg IMG_20180724_184604.jpg

They also did a garbage job drywalling. I think I'm going to tear the walls out and redrywall the areas they did. I already plan on running a sub panel, that way I can run outlets easier all over those walls and replace their crappy insulation with rockwool, which should help deaden some sound as well.IMG_20180724_184520.jpg IMG_20180724_191512.jpg

Some pics of the new cabinets and garage fridge hanging out in the new dining room until I'm done with the floor and ready to install them... Wonder how long until I start getting grief about that :D

And the projector actually made it's way into the living room, which surprisingly wasn't my idea. So I'll have to figure out something else for the golf emulator when it's time, but that's ok, because I was actually really wanting to do a hitting screen, but didn't want the current screen to go to waste lol.IMG_20180724_191917.jpg

Progress!!!!!! It looks like some beginners did the drywall for you, or, the beer came before the job instead of after the job was done----LOL

Yeah, but as much asathe drywall sucks, I think the garage outlet and switches may actually be the electricians fault on box placement. I actually just required the entire house with smart switches, and there were definitely two varying techniques used for attaching switches and folding wires.

I need to decide how I'm going to finish the garage door wall. Don't really feel like dismantiling the tracks and torsion springs to drywall the whole thing and have to mess with realigning

Plugs n switchs are DEFINITELY on the electricians. I deal with crappy drywall/mud jobs all the time but still set plugs n switchs flush with wall plates. Sorry you paid good money to have to deal with that crap!

No biggie, it gives me another excuse to tear it out and redo it since I really wanted to go nuts with wiring outlets. My workbench is going g to be right there, so outlets are a must!

Sounds like you're an electrician? Thoughts on running my sub panel? Panel says 110 limit per bus stab. Without removing the cover, I'm thinking that means I need to move the furnace or basement light breaker to add a 70 amp for the sub. Going to need to run about 70 feet to the garage

Yep, guilty as charged.
70 amp sub breaker should be plenty. Kinda depends on what ur planing on running in the garage though. 7 welders at once and ****...lol.
#4 copper wire is rated for 70 amp so you need to calc whatever your planned load will be
