Gas mileage and Thumping sound

Recently purchased 2022 Ram 1500 5.7 etorque Laramie w Off Road package...Average MPG is 14.7 @ 73 mph.(Horrible). Is this normal for New vehicle??Also ,odometer reads 400 miles and now just started hearing a low bass thumping sound...
Any input would be Great!!!!

Average combined mileage around 15ish sounds normal but if you're sustaining a continuous highway speed it should be higher than that.

Incidentally you posted this in the 4th gen part of this forum, if you've got etorque you have a 5th gen - might have more insightful answers if you post over in that section instead.

i am getting 14.2 to 14.7 in city. Noise you are hearindg is from ANC. Mine comes and goes. You can use a harness to bypass the micrphones in power unit.

Thar average for city stop and go
