GMRS / Etc Radio Installation Ideas / Photos?

Required equipment list for PWIM 2020 is a GMRS radio. I have a couple of cheap handhelds, but considering mounting a radio in the truck for extended power/range.

Anybody want to share radio mounting/location ideas? I haven't installed one before, so not sure what the best/cleanest way to mount them in our trucks is. Also looking for any tips on best way to route an external antenna.

Anyone have a favorite GMRS radio to recommend?

I was looking at the Midland MXT400VP3 micromobile bundle. Seen some good reviews on it, so thinking about getting it.

Shoot unless you’re wheeling all the time. Midland handhelds are great! We’ve had 20 trucks on a run in mountains and never lost contact with anybody on my handheld. I removed my lowers drawer tray “non pw” and installed a cb there. I think on pw it’s just a blank gap. Right three maybe?
