Wow, it's so easy to get overwhelmed reading about headlights on this forum! I've got a 2018 Big Horn with the plain old halogen bulbs.

As many others have stated, the light output of these bulbs is dismal. I would like to upgrade... BUT, I do not want to buy projectors or do any sort of conversion.

I really just want to upgrade to a better halogen bulb; and, hopefully, not one that will burn out every few months.

Any recommendations for a simple halogen bulb upgrade?

When upgrading halogens, my best results were with PIAA or Sylvania brand bulbs.

I've got Wagner Night Defense reduced glare bulbs in the low beams and Philips Nightguide in the high beams. No complaints, they produce a lot of light where I need it without glare that nobody needs. If they burn out some day I'm buying the same ones to replace 'em.

Thank you! Are the hyperlinks pointed to the correct sizes?

Should be, for the 4th generation rams with non-projector halogens it's H11 for low beams and 9005 for high beams.

Do the H9 low beam upgrade over the H11 - you will thank me.
High beam can also be upgraded if wished using 9011 bulbs.

Both require a slight modification to work but are well worth it.

IMHO don't spend the money on regular bulbs put it towards an HID setup with projectors if you don't already have the projector housings.

Sounds like he has regular headlights and doesn't want to upgrade those to projectors, but I agree that if you're in there you might as well upgrade to something better like LEDs. At least with the LEDs they are plug and play with no modifying the dust caps, I'm running some in my projectors now that are real close in performance to HIDs I've had in the past. If I had reflective headlights I would definitely go with the LEDs, and from my personal experience with HIDs not lasting, that's why I decided to go LED in my projectors this time.

Agreed; Stock bulbs are low-light at best. I did go for HID conversion and am 100% stoked on the results. No pun, but it is a true night and day difference. I used a Hikari kit from Amazon for approx 70$ and a LED kit on my fogs. I'm running a '15 Ram 1500 which, as I have read, is very sensitive to computer errors. However, I've had no issue in approx 6 months.

Great start up addition if you want over the counter halogen.
I agree, big upgrade.

So you are running hid in a reflector or a projector?

Glare sucks and people whose headlights produce glare are somewhere below dumpster juice in my book.
