Alright guys (and girls!) I am looking into upgrading the head unit in my 08 ram. Ive been reading lots of reviews and keep going in circles. I guess Ill start with what I want in the unit and what ive read in reviews.
1. Must have built in Navigation. Ive heard that you can only use the nav in most units while in park. This I dont like. I travel non stop and wont be able to stand this.
2. Must work with iphone
3. Would prefer a cd/dvd player
4. Must be compatible with steering wheel controls
5. Must be bluetooth
6. App compatible would be nice.
7. I dont have subscription to XM so sat ready isnt a must
Thanks all for any help you can provide!
Also if anyone has anything nice for sell, pm me.

I just picked up the JVC KD-R730BT, and I love it and the only thing that doesn't have on your list is the navigation since it's a single din. I paid $98

pioneer seems to be a popular choice for double din nav units

If i`m not mistaken. There is away around the nav only working when in park. I think you have to do something with the parking brake to trick it.

pioneers(at least all that ive used) you can bypass the the dvd safety feature by adding a grounded switch to parking break wire. Its very easy.

Check this unit out. I think you'll like it. I don't knownifnit will work with the steering wheel controls. Someone more informed may be able to tell you.

AVIC - F900BT
AVIC-F900BT - In-Dash Navigation AV Receiver with DVD Playback and Built-In Bluetooth | Pioneer Electronics USA

This is the same unit I have. Not installed yet but yes it can work with steering wheel controls with the module from Pac-audio it's the SWI-PS I believe, I have one at home as well but I can't remember for sure that's the one. check out their website and you will find all the info you need.
