How hard is it to replace the material on these, especially the visors? I plan on going to a fabric store and buying some soon.

I've seen a thread on it somewhere before, but if it tucks behind the mirrors or something it may not be too bad. Just fixed the "leather" trim on my girlfriends 06 mustang door panel, and it looks good as new. So I'm going to attempt that myself. If I end up making it look bad Ive got a shop lined up to do it.

Oh, no. Didn't mean I'd be doing leather, just meant I got some experience with laying down and smoothing out a sort of fabric on body pieces, and it turned out really good.

Awesome. Haha. Anyone have any suggestions on what fabric I could use to match? I don't want the headliner to show everytime someone touches it if possible.

Well. When I went to the fabric store I asked for light cotton fabric. And the lady told me they had headliner fabric. It has the cushioning on the back side of it. And is exactly the same as what is on there now. I have the visors apart. But have to stop for homework. Tested out vinyl spray dye on my extra a pillar. And it works amazingly. And looks amazing too! Going to get this all done tomorrow.

Not exactly spray on vinyl. Haha. More or less a spray on dye to use on vinyls, hard or soft plastics, carpets, seats, any sort of fabric really. So far with only about an hour dry time it's holding up well to the abuse I've given it.

This was tan when I started. Still has all of its texture, everything. It's just black.

I'll get better pictures tomorrow when I do pieces that'll actually be in the truck. The material is being a ***** to cut. Anyone have suggestions on something sharp that'll cut precisely. Use a razor blade right now. And it takes a scoring, and then a pulling while hitting it with the razor to get it to cut.

Yes I do. Will hopefully be finishing the fabric after school. The sun visors suck to cut and place. Doesn't look perfect. So will be redoing it. All of the plastic pieces have been taken off the top of the headliner. Just need to slide it off and put the new fabric.
