Well,

All though I know it is crazy money all the moding on the Charger and Ram, I really had my heart set on the ION 171 polished wheels with some nice MT / ATs.

I was informed this morning that the bolt pattern would not line up. Could have sworn I read it would. :-(

Not interested in adapters. Anyways, Ill prolly do some type of design / plasti dip deal on stockers. I sort of like the stockers anyways.

Lucky for you, those would be terrible on a new ram.

I have a 2010 Ram, wish it was new. Muscle car and freaking house eat too much money to have a new Ram. I do like the old school look though. Might go with the Level 8 Tracker s but the IONs are what I had mod fever for. :-(

Did you check Discount Tire Direct? (can we say that on here?) They used to have an MB Motoring wheel that was identical to that . And it was a 5 on 5.5. I ran them in a 20" on a 408 Ram I had. I think they still make 'em.

You can say that again!:puke:

I like the newer blacked out look but I am an old guy, old school works for me.

I could have and though about blacking out my charger wheels or going with blacked out wheels many times but, I love my COY - C5s. Young and old people love my old school looking wheels on my charger.

For me, the ION 171s would look great on a Ram or any truck.

Now those look good. Much better choice.

Yeah, I'll have to agree with the others.. That style wheel doesn't look good on a ram, now thats all relative to your taste though so if you like it get one that looks like it. ATX Slot looks similar and I don't think would look bad on a set of 33's or 35's, definitely needs a agressive stance to pull it off though

I on the other hand like the Ion 133 wheel.

The more I see the ION171 next to the American Racing Baja wheel thee more I see there is a big diff in the look I was going for.

There is more metal on the bajas and the cooling holes are not so large. Yeah sort of getting what some of you are saying now about the wheels I originally posted. Here are thee bajas: They look more aggressive and still give that old school truck look I like. I have seen them in black too which I could always do if I wanted a newer look via dipping.

Post a pic of your truck and build plan, might help some give their advice on what would look good or not....

I'm a huge fan of using photoshop to pick wheels and such to get a good view of what it will look like on your truck. helps ya decide if they really look good to you.

and the AR ones you posed are hideous IMO... the MT's or Ions look a little better but still as dated as disco music :roflsquared:

I've been reading off road magazines for 20+ years so I still like the wheels you linked. Also like the Boyd Coddington style wheels in your second style. More of a sport truck wheel, but sharp.

Looks like low maintenance, no worries wheels to me. I did the unthinkable and dropped from 20s to 17s for more sidewall and less worries about damaging 20 inch wheels. Cost was only a couple hundred difference between the 17s and 20s, but not everyone needs 20s. I had 22s on an old truck and grew out of that. Getting slightly more practical the older I get.
