Done a little researching/lurking lately. I have been driving the wheels off a 1997 Ram 1500 2wd since 01/02 and decided it was time to upgrade a little and after purchasing an 08 1500 RAM 4x4 this past Tuesday, I decided to sign up on the forum. Looks like a great source of info.
I'm not new to working on trucks, just still kind of a novice with the newer technology.
Here is the 08 I just acquired:
Here is an 86 I built up from stock:
1986 Power Ram, 340 SB with TCI 727 and factory NP208 transfer case. 1 ton axles with 4.56 gears, 8" susp. lift & 3" body lift to make room for flexing some 18x39.5x15 Super Swamper Boggers. Hyd. assist steering, dual battery set-up, headers, 2.02/1.60 heads, Mopar Purple Cam 260/268 - .430/.450, Holley 750 carb., K&N filter, and trans cooler.
