So i have a 2012 ram sport CC 4x4. I am planing on replacing the restrictive Y pipe. Id like to add a 3" electronic cut out between the Y and the muffler. Now by having the cutout i would like to get a better flowing muffler but dont need it to be loud nor do I want any drone in the cab i looked at the dynomax VT and sounds like it might be up my ally. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Our Magnaflow 24" (as close as you can get to bolt-on next to the Mufflex) makes the truck sound like a proper TRUCK, but is quiet enough and has ZERO drone, that we can tow our trailer with the rear slider window open with no issues (and my wife is very, very, very particular).
I'd buy it over and over again and not change a thing :favorites13:

Thanks for the input guys. I like the sound of that carven. One of my issues is that i leave for work pretty early and live in an apartment complex. We already have plenty of obnoxious bikes and rice rockets that speed through. How much more rumble can i expect out of that muffler if im just barely taping the gas. I practically idle all the way to the front gate anyway due to all the speed bumps.

then i'd suggest one of the boeschbuilt or mufflex bolt on muffler kits that are available in a few different sizes/sound levels and bolt right up... $278 shipped for my 14'' Boeschbuilt and 30 min swap in the driveway!! :favorites13:

People spend too much for "bolt on" and IMO they don't even sound good. I got a flowmaster super10 and it was only a 45 min job. $100 for the muffler, extra pipe, and clamps.

I love my Mufflex 14" Magnaflow muffler. I think it sounds awesome. I've very glad I picked it.

Consider not using a muffler! I have lt's and catted y pipe to muffler delete to stock resonators and tips. Not obnoxiously loud at all.http://youtu.be/L8ylYUpNgkU

Just got my magnaflow put on today. I am happy as hell. I got the 24 and it starts with a wonderful growl and then mellows and doesn't come to life until I push it. No drone!!!!

I put the flowmaster 50 hd on mine. It's stainless and not going to rust out. I like the way it sounds and like that I didn't have too mess with a muffler shop to have it installed.

I highly doubt my stainless muffler is gonna rust out in two years
