Horn quit working 2001 ram

On my 2oo1 ram I hit the horn really hard and now it doesn't work. The center of the airbag cover feel really soft and spongy now. From what i read there was a membrane of plastic in the center with the horn contacts, but it is integrated into the airbag assembly. I have not been able to find any replacements. Have any of you come up with a fix for this issue?

I've never heard of that happening, so what ever you figure out......Please share with us for future reference.
