How difficult is it to install OEM style fender flares on 2016 Ram ?

I just bought a set and they are being delivered today. Is it a pretty easy install ? Any special tools needed. I was thinking of putting them on after work, But wasn't sure how much time it would take.

Don't put them on after work .......your gonna need some 2 sided 3m tape and most people here will tell you to put 3m clear adhesive down to protect the paint on the fenders...

thoose are nice flairs for the money..

Probably not what you want to hear as i am sure you are excited about putting these on. But speaking from personal experience with aftermarket flares, I would make sure you apply some type of paint protection where the flare contacts the paint before installing. You can google "paint damage from fender flares" and you will see why. The road grit and dirt gets between the flare and paint and essentially grinds through the paint. I plan on using this when i get around to doing flares on this truck.

Other than that they shouldn't take long to install. Curious to see how you like this brand as I am thinking of going with something similar.

The OEM ones use tape to adhere to the body. My impression was that it would prevent dirt from getting against the paint. Not sure on these.

Those look nice, I ordered some OEM Laramie flares yesterday. They use existing nuts and new clips, and 3M tape.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to wait and install this weekend. That will give me time to get the 1/4" 3M tape, and not feel rushed in putting them on.

The actual Flare installation does not take very long. What took the most time was installing the 1” PPF everywhere the Flare would touch the paint. I installed the Flares, marked out the location where the 3M double sided tape would be, removed the Flares, installed the PPF, including the lip where they screw in and then reinstalled the the Flare. Overall tool about 3-4 hours, actual Flare install, 30 min.
