i have a 2013 ram 1500 4wd laramie with 5.7.

how do you figure out what oil to use, and if you need an additive or not?

my last truck had rpo codes in the glovebox, but this truck doesn't seem to have any. so i have no idea what transmission i have, lsd or not, gear ratio, etc

Type your VIN in here for the factory build sheet: https://fcagroup.my.site.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing
(use all capital letters)

As for axle fluids, use Redline 75W140 in the rear, it already has the friction modifier in if you have the LSD rear differential. The front uses a 75W90. If you don't tow or haul anything or very little you can get away with using the 75W90 front and rear.

I used the Redline 57915 and used a Slippery Pete Fluid Pump for Gallon Bottles right into the rear axle.
