Hurst shifter knob?

I have the 5-spees manual trans. Has anyone installed an aftermarket hurst or any other brand shifter knob? I was looking for the pistol grip style. Would it screw right in? What about the angle seems like it would be off for the pistol grip type knob.

Do you know the thread size? I think its 10mm x 1.5mm but don't quote me.

I'm not aware of the size. I looked and that was 1 of the many options that it looked like it said it would fit.
