Nope. Sure wouldn't. Don't get me wrong, I can drive a stick. And in the right vehicle I downright prefer it. Think sport or muscle car. If I got a new challenger I would want a stick probably. But for my truck which is my daily driver and tow rig I just prefer the auto.

Where I live now, I want nothing to do with a manual. I live just outside Los Angeles, CA and rush hour is really annoying with a stick. I'll stick with an automatic.

Now if I were to move back to South Carolina, I wouldn't mind having one. I sometimes drove my dad's '94 S10 with a stick when I lived out there. Wasn't much traffic, so it wasn't so cumbersome.

Why would you want a non lock up converter trans in a heavy truck?
4L80E maybe...turbo 400...no thanks.

4L80E maybe...turbo 400...no thanks.

You lose about 300 rpms drop from the non-lockup, big whoop but with a final gear ratio of 0.78 you will still get good fuel mileage.

You have a tranny that will out perform and can take 1000 + hp and not blow up.

I'll stick with a lock up converter, thanks.
I already make more power than most...and have no issues. If you drive these 5 and 6 speeds like an idiot they'll break fast. If you use your head you'll be fine.

Yea...I'm gonna hang on to the T56 until I don't have this truck anymore. I never know what I'm gonna do next and that may be it if the Sharadon trans I'm about to try out fails.

The more research I do on Sharadon and what they've done the more comfortable I get. That doesn't mean they're bulletproof but they sure give em hell.

Well there is some guy on here who keeps breaking tranny's that has a blower that makes what 500hp and breaks trannies so......Blackramhemi I think with only 500rwhp lol

I've always said I didn't build it to drag race...I built it to play on the curvy stuff. It does that very very well. A manual would make it even more fun there for sure. The brakes that are on it now are too big to get a small enough wheel on for a good drag tire anyway.
