Intermediate shaft stuck in differential...

I am doing the cv axles on my 2014 Ram 1500. Unfortunately this intermediate or half shaft is pretty damaged. I have tried everything to get it to pop free. Hit pry bar with hammer, connected vise grips and smacked with hammer, and tried prying the best I could. It still won't budge. Any suggestions?

I use my Snap-On slide hammer when they need persuasion.

Ill weld a nut to the shaft and they come right out.

@DILLIGAF that's probably a great way to get it out! Any other suggestions if I don't have access to a welder? I do have a slide hammer...

Ah, you should have left it. I knew what you meant and just got a chuckle from someone else's typo.
Slide hammers do come in handy, especially if you can fab or weld an attachment point - and I envy your fab and welding skills! Kudos Always impressed with your outcomes.

you can use a full split or half split collar on the shaft also if the shaft is not to hard drill a hole and tap it the screw the slap hammer in
