issues with ohd

i recently got a 1997 ram 2500 with a 5.9 magnum and it has the overhead display option installed...my issue with this is it dont work...it shows the direction of travel on one side and OC on the other side...ive tried disconnecting the battery to reset it and nothing, tried pushing both buttons at once (which reset the ohd in my old van) but nothing...is there anything else i might try short of taking it to the dealership?

Maybe the ambient temperature sensor is bad. I would check it first. It should be behind the grille, in front of the radiator.

i looked everywhere under the hood and around the grille area...didn't find any sensor or wires for one...looked up the part to see what it looked like and still didn't find anything under the hood looking like it...guess im gonna hafta find me a rapair manual and trace wires or take it to a shop
