My insurance guy just called me, and they are raising my premium by $152/year:bs:
I just insured the truck with Allstate in Dec.
The agent claims that for vehicles this new, they use the previous model year to estimate the cost of repairs, and that is what sets the premium.
Apparently the new estimates are in for the 2014.
Other than Style, I can’t think of any major model change (did 2013 have air suspension??).

Has anyone been hit with this on their 2014.
I have zero tickets and zero accidents on my record.

I switched from Geico to State Farm, raised my coverage amounts a bit, added death & indemnity and saved over $50/month.
Plus, I wasn't thrilled with Geico spending my money on quarterly magazines and constantly sending me junk mail to switch - when I was already using them. I know every company has an advertising budget, but at least State Farm acts as if they know you're already a customer.

Funny you should say that. I am already a State Farm customer and I get **** from other agents to switch to them and save on my insurance.

I dunno about mine, it did go up from my 08, same coverage. Couldn't tell you what it is a month as I pay yearly.

Though, riding the fine line between license and no license, Im still cheaper than some people that have 0 tickets. Don't understand how exactly, must be the 0 accidents and 0 clams in 16 years of driving.

I pay about $200/month to State Farm, a slight increase for the Ram over the 2010 Rubicon I traded in. That also includes a $1M umbrella liability policy though too.

I did a single car quote from Geico, and it was $60/yr more than Allstate.
I have all my other crap with Allstate, so I think I am getting a bundle discount.

This new rate is about $180/year more than my 2000 Tundra, so I guess a $45K truck cost more to insure than a $12K Tundra (I know that the liability is about the same).

Guess I will just live with it and let the insurance company take my money since we are over a barrel when it comes to insurance....at least they could send me some KY with my next bill:>)

I pay $82 a month (492 / 6 Months) for my '13 2500 with Geico.
No wrecks and good credit.

Credit Score has a lot to do with Insurance rates with many companies.

I have Allstate as well and have a 2014 1500. I have an accident on my record, but don't see this "2014 tax"
