I did not think you could get pushbutton start on a tradesman? And 38K does seem quite high. I know mine is a 14, but I got my RC 3500 drw 4x4 with power pkg, chrome pkg, stainless nerf bars, bedliner, remote start and mine has carpet for 31k out the door.

The techs are usually clueless about this stuff. The next level is the star agents who are supposedly highly qualified specialist. In reality they are phone answers who just read canned scripts, the qualifications for a star agent are only a high school diploma, I have seen a copy of the job posting.

But hey I am just that tin foil hat guy

Hmmm.... now I'm feeling a little hosed. Last time I use truecar.com !! Oh well, with the trade on my FJ, I feel pretty good (not AS good now) about the transaction. At least the Mrs. already gave me her blessing - That counts for a LOT.

I'm sorry to get you second guessing yourself, that wasn't the point.

The difference in what you paid vs what i've paid is also based on our methods of buying. You specially ordered yours vs me waiting till the end of the month and buying a truck off their lot.

I actually have a friend who works at the local Lexus dealer and works with some of the Ram guys. I am friends with some of the finance guys and they were actually able to show me where they took a bit of a loss on my deal as there was a big enough kick back from Ram coming if they were able to pick up just a few more new sales in the next day or two...

No worries! I'm appreciating the comments / perspectives. In the end, I'll have a new truck - that's what matters!

Did you put down any non refundable deposits? I'd do a quick call to Dennis Dillon Ram in Idaho and get a quote for this same truck. You may find that you could save much more than a couple grand over what you have going now. I saved over $4500 including my flight, hotel and fuel to get home the 900 miles. In the end if you are happy that's all that matters but I'd be more happy with the potential to save a lot more money

Yes it really does matter to where you live. I have been building my truck online & working with the local dealers & about the best I can do around the Dayton area is $4,000 under MSRP. I look at similar trucks in Mich. & Minn. that are $8-11,000 under MSRP with Chrysler rebate. If I knew for sure they would give me a good trade in price I would be road trippin'
I am in the great position where I don't have to have one now so I am really giving the dealers a hard time right now. Keep hearing "we got to make money too". :manos: It is really hard for me to feel bad for any of them when I know more about the vehicle than most of the sales people. Man that drives me crazy!!! I am not buying a $50,000 vehicle from a person that knows less about the truck than I do. How hard is it to learn the specs/options of the 12 different vehicles on the lot!?! Enough of my rant. Maybe you didn't get a great deal but as long as you didn't get screwed you should feel good that ya got a great new truck on the way. Congrats!:favorites13:

I'm considering ordering a '16 CC Laramie 6.4 4x4. Does anybody know if the black out package/sport appearance is available with a color other than black? If not, I'll probably just look at what's on dealer's lots.
