Key programming works, then it doesn't...

I recently purchased a 2013 1500 ST w/ keyless proximity entry and remote start. The truck only came with a generic FOB and would only function if I started the truck by depressing the start switch with the Key FOB. So I purchased two appropriate key FOBs from Amazon. Got them to program with AlfaOBD (oddly enough I could not get the keys to program with an xTool D8), and both checked out fine; remote start, normal start w/ FOB inside vehicle, doors lock/unlock, ect... Then after I drove the truck once the both Key FOBs quit working, each FOB worked once, when driven. Codes seem to point towards an RF Hub?? Thoughts?

I think I've heard the exact same symptoms from everyone who got fobs from Amazon.

If not in that order, perhaps it was that every time I've heard of that symptom, the keys were from Amazon.


Try an OEM key fob.
